Here I Am

Zoe Hu was born to Lee and Tammy Hu in Hong Kong, though her parents moved to Gotham shortly after. She barely had time to get to know them, however... at age six, while Zoe was with a babysitter as her parents took a day to themselves, Lee and Tammy's car was struck by another, killing both instantly. Zoe was, as a result, taken into the custody of the state. Passed around through a number of foster homes, she ran away from the last one and mostly lived on the streets, where she was found and taken in by a man calling himself Fagin, after the old Dickens character.

Life as an orphaned thief was nowhere near as simple or glamorous as Fagin claimed, and Zoe had many brushes with the law, as well as times that she thought she may not survive. In one, however, she was nearly captured... by the Batman. Though she escaped, Zoe eventually became fascinated with Gotham's Dark Knight and eventually followed him to a crime scene, where she managed to help him stave off her former employer before she was knocked unconscious.

Originally taken back to Wayne Manor by the Batman - Terry McGinnis, Bruce Wayne made an attempt to locate the girl's family to no avail. When it was discovered that she may be placed in juvenile detention for her involvement with the crimes committed by the gang, Bruce decided he could not let that happen. After a long talk with the girl, he decided to do what he hadn't done in years... he adopted her.

For two years after her adoption, Zoe acted as Robin, fighting along-side Terry on the streets of Gotham. During that time, however, the mansion gained yet another resident when Diana, princess of the Themysciran Amazons, came to visit Bruce. Still in love with him, she was devastated at seeing how he had aged, deciding to stay to take care of him as he grew older. When Zoe turned thirteen, she asked Diana to train her in the art of Amazon combat. Though at first she denied her, it didn't take long until she agreed.

When Zoe turned fifteen, she joined the New Titans full-time as Wonder Girl and has been acting in this capacity ever since.

Just an introduction of what's to come in Zoe's life. Introducing: Wonder Girl. That goofy suit is actually a lot tougher than she looks thanks to the circlet she wears. Her bracelets are the same ones Diana used to wear... they're a gift and she uses them in her capacity as Wonder Girl.
