Dressed for A Wedding by chibijaime Dressed for A Wedding by chibijaime
Drawn for Tali'Zorah vas Normandy on the Facebook MERP. I told her I'd draw Tali in a pretty wedding-style suit for her gettin' hitched to Kal'Reegar... SO I DID.

I  this Tali. She's wonderful.

Tali belongs to Bioware.

((And just to clear up matters? I SUPPORT KAL'REEGARxTALI'ZORAH. And I love the Tali I drew this for as she's a fun person and a really good roleplayer. If you don't like the pairing or the concept, please be considerate and respect those of us that do.))

I like it, I like it a lot. I romance Tali, but hey, everyone's got their own choices.

I like Kal'Reegar just fine, but he always sounded too American-military due to the actor they got. Kinda broke my perception of quarians having the accent from their native language, you know? I almost expected him to shout HOO-RAH! Then again, maybe he did... I forget.

I didn't mind his accent because you do get introduced to quarians with other accents in game, once you actually get aboard the Migrant Fleet to help Tali in her loyalty mission. be honest, I'd romance Tali too. If she was romancable by femShep. XD But I do like her with Kal with the option not there.

Indeed, ME2 expanded the role of the quarians in the first game, which was limited to one... Tali. It's perfectly understandable that there can be multiple accents from an entire race, sure, but the quarians always seemed unique. They live on ships, growing up on one and eventually serve on another, and have done so for a very long time, so it would be logical to assume that their language, at least in its native tongue, would have fewer accents than normal.

I always assumed Tali's slight inflection was from her learning English (or basic, or whatever universal language it is that's translated into English for the benefit of the player). Then Kal'Reeger and a few others come along (but notably Kal) with a heavilly American-inspired way of talking. I know that marine mentality breeds similar thoughts, but it's not like you ever saw a krogan or a turian with that kind of "Hoo-ah!" mentality. On the whole, turians are collected and krogan are angered. The way they handled quarians makes it seem like accent shifts from individual to individual, which may have been intentional, but I question the reasoning if so. To me it just seems random.

...Rant over. Like I said, I've nothing against the many shippings that fly around, and personally, I keep hoping they'll make a DLC for ME2 that expands the romance options, if only for the sheer hilarity it would cause. You know, more of a universal romance thing with all options open that the player can customize to his/her own preference.
